1. Acknowledgment and Acceptance of Terms
- Welcome to the Storm Media website (https://world.storm.mg , hereinafter referred to as “the Website”). The Website is an online information platform established by Storm Media Group Ltd. Each entity within the Storm Media Group provides its respective services through this platform (collectively, the “Storm Media Group Membership Services”).
To avoid redundant data entry and complicated application procedures, all users applying for membership services (hereinafter referred to as “Members” or “you”) are only required to register once and agree to these Terms in order to access the Storm Media Group Membership Services.
These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and each company within the Storm Media Group. Please read them carefully. Once you complete the required registration information, pass the verification process, and begin using the Storm Media Group Membership Services, you are deemed to have fully read, understood, and agreed to all provisions of these Terms.
- The Website reserves the right to amend or modify these Terms to meet the needs of service provision. Any amendments or modifications will be announced on the Website’s Membership Registration Page or Login Page. If the amendments materially affect your rights, the Website will notify you via the email address you provided. You are advised to review these updates regularly.
Once such amendments become effective, all subsequent transactions or activities you conduct will be governed by the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the modifications, please discontinue the use of the Website’s membership services. Any paid services or transaction rights and obligations established prior to such amendments will not be affected.
Institutional and enterprise members shall ensure that users within their respective groups comply with these Terms as well.
- If you are under the age of twenty (20), in addition to complying with the above requirements, your legal representative (guardian) must read, understand, and agree to all contents of these Terms—including any subsequent amendments—before you may apply for, register, or use any services provided by the Website. By completing the registration process or using the Website’s services, you represent and warrant to Storm Media that you have obtained such prior consent from your legal representative (guardian).
- Storm Media complies with all applicable personal data protection laws when processing your personal information. For details regarding personal data protection and privacy, please refer to the Storm Media Privacy Policy.

Regarding Orders
- When you complete the ordering process on the Storm Media Website in accordance with the methods, conditions, and procedures indicated on the webpages, you are deemed to have made an offer and agreed to be bound by these Terms as well as any additional terms, transaction conditions, or restrictions specified on the relevant webpages for the product or service you are ordering.
- After you complete the ordering process, the system will automatically notify you by email or other means. Such notification merely confirms that your order request has been received; it does not constitute a completed transaction nor the formation of a contract. Storm Media will process your order as soon as possible and reserves the right to accept or reject your order.
- Once Storm Media confirms that the transaction details are correct, that the ordered product is in stock, or that the ordered service is available—and provided that no condition exists requiring rejection of the order—Storm Media will notify the cooperating supplier to proceed with shipment. You may simultaneously check the shipping status on the Website.
- If the transaction details are incorrect, the product is out of stock, the service cannot be provided, or any condition exists that necessitates refusal of the order, Storm Media may reject your order.
- Storm Media will make its best effort to maintain the accuracy of all related information. However, if the specifications, images, or descriptions of any product or service are incorrect, the information provided by the manufacturer, distributor, importer, reseller, or service provider shall prevail.
- If the price displayed on the webpage or within related information is incorrect:
If the displayed price is higher than the correct price, Storm Media will charge the lower (correct) price.
If the displayed price is lower than the correct price, Storm Media reserves the right to reject the order.
If any errors exist regarding specifications, images, descriptions, pricing, or transaction conditions, Storm Media may reject your order within two (2) days after you complete the ordering process.
If you choose to pay by credit card and input your card information online, such action is solely for the purpose of verifying the validity of your credit card and obtaining authorization from the issuing bank. It does not constitute payment, nor does it mean that the transaction has been completed or that a contract has been formed.
- If you choose to pay by credit card in installments, such installment plan is provided by your card-issuing bank. The rights and obligations arising from the installment plan exist solely between you and the issuing bank. Unless otherwise specified on the relevant webpage, all matters including interest payments, calculation methods, additional credit insurance, or guarantor requirements shall be governed by your agreement with the issuing bank. Please review your agreement with the issuing bank carefully.
- You may choose the delivery location and method for the products or services you order in accordance with the methods, conditions, and restrictions specified on the sales page or during the ordering process. The calculation and payment of shipping fees shall follow the information provided on the relevant webpage.
If no such information is provided, the shipping cost shall be borne by Storm Media.
- For all products or services you purchase, matters related to product quality, warranty, and after-sales service shall be governed by the instructions and warranty certificates provided with each product. Such obligations shall be fulfilled by the manufacturer, distributor, importer, reseller, or service provider according to their own terms. Storm Media will assist you in resolving any questions or disputes arising from your purchase.
Regarding Order Cancellation
- Before the product has been scheduled for shipment, you may cancel your order through the cancellation process provided on the Website. If the product has already been scheduled for shipment, you must instead complete the return process.
- Products will be delivered up to three (3) times. If delivery is unsuccessful and you cannot be reached for more than three (3) days, the order will be automatically cancelled and fully refunded.
- If you repeatedly engage in malicious cancellation of transactions, excessive returns or refusals, or abuse of related rights or reward mechanisms—thereby causing inconvenience or damage to Storm Media—Storm Media reserves the right to modify or refuse the provision of relevant services.
If such behavior continues after communication with you, Storm Media may cancel or suspend any rewards or benefits obtained through related activities. You shall not claim compensation or reimbursement for such actions.
- Regarding Returns and Refunds::
- You may exercise your rights pursuant to Article 19, Paragraph 1 of the Consumer Protection Act.
To avoid affecting your ability to return the product, please refrain from damaging the packaging, removing seals, detaching tags, removing adhesive labels, or performing any actions beyond what is necessary for inspection, or causing any damage attributable to you.
- Returned products must be in brand-new condition with complete packaging (including the product itself, accessories, gifts, warranty cards, original packaging, and all accompanying documents or materials).
Do not remove accessories, dismantle the product, or damage the original box.
Any missing, damaged, or incomplete items may affect your return eligibility, and Storm Media may deduct refurbishment costs based on the extent of the damage.
- You understand and agree that if a return, exchange, or cancellation (whether partial or full) requires a refund, Storm Media may process the invoice or allowance note required under applicable laws on your behalf.
If you requested a physical invoice, you must return the invoice along with the required allowance documents; otherwise, Storm Media may reject your return or refund request.
- After confirming that the return conditions are met, Storm Media will promptly process your refund.
If you paid using a non-credit-card method, you must provide accurate bank account information; otherwise, the refund cannot be processed.
- Invoices::
- In accordance with applicable laws, Storm Media will issue and store electronic invoices. Paper invoices will not be mailed.
You may check invoice information on the Ministry of Finance Electronic Invoice Platform 24 hours after issuance.
- If you choose to donate the invoice during the payment process, please note that donated invoices cannot be retrieved under the law.
The actual recipient organization will be based on the donation designation at the time the invoice is issued.
- Other
If Storm Media is required by law or contract to provide compensation or reimbursement, such liability shall be limited to the actual amount received for the disputed transaction.
Storm Media shall not be liable for any additional damages arising from or relating to the disputed transaction, including but not limited to indirect or consequential losses.
4. Sponsorship Service Terms
- To encourage creators and support their continued production of quality work, you may provide monetary sponsorship to authors—either as a one-time contribution or as a recurring monthly payment—through the online payment system.
- After deducting the platform service fee, the remaining amount of your sponsorship will be paid to the author as remuneration.
- Each sponsorship is treated as an individual order. Once the order is established, the transaction becomes effective and cannot be revoked. After completing a sponsorship, no refunds will be issued for any reason. All sponsorships are calculated in New Taiwan Dollars (NTD).
- In accordance with applicable laws, Storm Media will issue and store electronic invoices. Paper invoices will not be mailed. You may check invoice information on the Ministry of Finance Electronic Invoice Platform 24 hours after issuance.

5. Paid Membership Sales Terms
The Paid Membership Sales Terms constitute the Supplementary Terms to the “Membership Terms and Conditions.
By purchasing and using our Paid Membership Services, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms, including all supplementary provisions herein.
The following Terms apply specifically to the Paid Membership Services. Storm Media reserves the right of final interpretation regarding the design, implementation, sale, modification, and discontinuation of the service.
- Automatic Renewal
- For purchases made directly on the Storm Media platform, automatic renewal is activated immediately upon purchase. You may disable it at any time in Membership Management.
- If automatic renewal is active, you may view the next renewal date under Account Center → Payment Management.
Depending on your selected plan, the billing cycle may be monthly, yearly, or otherwise, and will follow the same cycle as your original plan.
- If you click “Stop Auto-Renewal”, your membership expiration date will be displayed in Membership Management.
After expiration, your paid membership benefits will cease until you re-enable automatic renewal and rejoin as a paid member.
- For purchases made outside the main site—such as corporate bulk purchases or third-party platforms—automatic renewal may not be activated.
- Billing
- When purchasing a new plan on the main site, the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
- Membership Activation
- For purchases made directly on the main site or via third-party sales platforms, membership becomes effective immediately upon successful payment.
- For purchases through non-main-site channels (e.g., corporate group subscriptions), activation will follow the operational procedures of the designated business contact and will remain valid for the duration corresponding to the purchased membership term.
- Right of Withdrawal under the Consumer Protection Act
Paid membership products fall under the category of digital content not provided on a tangible medium, or online services immediately completed upon provision, and therefore qualify as a reasonable exception to the 7-day right of withdrawal under Article 19, Paragraph 1 of the Consumer Protection Act.
Accordingly, no refund policy applies unless the following exceptional situations occur:
- For purchases made under specific promotional campaigns—such as crowdfunding—the refund policy shall follow the terms applicable to that specific promotion.
- If Storm Media cancels your membership for special reasons, including but not limited to account deletion, we will contact you and provide a refund arrangement.
Storm Media reserves the right of final interpretation regarding the reasons for cancellation and the associated refund arrangements.
- Storm Media will issue and store electronic invoices in accordance with applicable laws. Paper invoices will not be mailed.
You may check the invoice information on the Ministry of Finance Electronic Invoice Platform 24 hours after issuance.
- If You Are Already a Paid Member and Purchase an Additional Plan
- When a new plan becomes effective, it will replace the previous plan. Any remaining days in the previous membership will be converted into a corresponding monetary value and credited toward the new plan.
- If the new plan is a higher-tier plan (e.g., upgrading from VIP to VVIP), your VVIP membership will begin immediately upon payment.
If your VIP membership still has remaining validity, the remaining VIP days will be added after the VVIP membership ends.
- Access to Paid Content
- Under normal circumstances, paid members of all plans may access all site content.
- Storm Media reserves the right to make certain content available for free without prior notice.
- Storm Media reserves the right to change the access methods and formats of paid content, including but not limited to articles, images, and videos.
- VVIP Access to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ)
- The VVIP plan includes a one-year Digital Plus membership provided by The Wall Street Journal, granting access to all language editions.
The WSJ access period will be synchronized with your Storm Media membership period. WSJ may adjust the content or scope of its Digital Plus access from time to time.
- You may choose whether to activate your WSJ access. Once you activate it, your email address will be shared with The Wall Street Journal.
- If you stop automatic renewal of your VVIP membership, your WSJ access will not continue automatically.
- If the partnership between Storm Media and WSJ ends, your existing WSJ access will remain valid until the end of your current Storm Media membership term, but WSJ access will no longer be included upon your next renewal.
- Storm Media bears no responsibility for any content you access on The Wall Street Journal.
- Membership Rights and Benefits
You may access and use all membership rights and benefits listed in these Terms or on the product description pages.
Without prior authorization from Storm Media, you may not sell, transfer, or otherwise profit from the membership rights or benefits you obtain.
If you are found to be selling membership rights or benefits, Storm Media reserves the right to immediately terminate your membership rights and benefits without prior notice.
