# Hsinchu City  

Hsinchu City is a coastal city located in northwestern Taiwan that serves as a significant industrial and cultural center. Founded in 1711 and nicknamed the Windy City, it is the most populous city in Taiwan that is not a special municipality. The city is globally recognized for the Hsinchu Science Park, a major hub for semiconductor manufacturing, and hosts prestigious research universities, alongside historical landmarks like the 1747 Chenghuang Temple.
