Continuing Our Sustainability Journey with Travelife Certification

PHUKET, Thailand, Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- We are proud to announce that Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach has successfully achieved its second year of Travelife Certification, reaffirming our ongoing commitment to sustainable tourism and responsible hospitality in Phuket.

Located on Merlin Beach, Phuket, our resort continues to protect and connect guests with the natural environment through dedicated conservation and educational initiatives.

Protecting Merlin Beach & House Reef

Our beach and Merlin House Reef are a designated protected area. In partnership with WildAid Thailand, we apply scientific monitoring toward establishing a Locally Managed Marine Area (LMMA), supporting the global 30×30 mission to conserve marine and coastal ecosystems.

Merlin Butterfly Sanctuary & Nature Walk

Our Merlin Butterfly Sanctuary helps sustain Phuket's local butterfly populations while creating opportunities for guests to learn about the island's biodiversity. Daily guided nature walks invite guests to discover the important role butterflies play in the local ecosystem.

Educational Center for Children

Our Educational Center provides hands-on learning experiences for children, including activities in our Herb Garden with our chefs and conservation-focused experiences. Through these activities, we aim to inspire the next generation to understand and care for the environment.

As a Travelife Certified hotel in Phuket, we remain committed to strengthening sustainable practices across the resort and contributing positively to our environment and local community.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our associates and partners who continue to turn our sustainability commitments into meaningful action.

Together, we continue to protect Phuket's natural environment while creating more responsible and meaningful experiences for our guests. （Related： MetaOptics Ltd establishes American Depositary Receipt ("ADR") Programme on OTCQX in the U.S., with J.P. Morgan as the Depositary Bank ｜ Latest ）
