SEOUL, South Korea, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- NOL Universe announced on the 16th that the NOL World Card, a prepaid card launched this past May exclusively for foreign tourists visiting Korea, has surpassed 10,000 issuances in just three months.

The NOL World Card is a collaborative payment solution introduced by NOL Universe, Woori Bank, and KONA I to enhance payment convenience and financial accessibility for tourists visiting Korea.

To ensure foreign tourists can use the card immediately upon arrival, it is issued at Woori Bank currency exchange counters inside Incheon International Airport and provides preferential exchange rates. A key feature of the card is its versatility; users can seamlessly exchange currency, top up their balances, and withdraw cash through various channels nationwide, including airport exchange counters, Woori Bank branches, ATMs, unmanned currency exchange machines, and partner kiosks.

To commemorate reaching the 10,000-card milestone, NOL Universe has completely revamped the card's aesthetic. The newly unveiled design highlights various iconic Korean symbols, including Namsan Seoul Tower, the Korean national flag, and Gyeongbokgung Palace. Furthermore, the company is hosting a promotional event on Instagram and Weibo. Users who share the NOL World Card design via story and tag the official NOL World account will be entered into a lucky draw to win tickets to the NOL Festival scheduled for this October. Lee Soo-jung, lead of the Inbound Business Planning Team at NOL Universe, stated, "We plan to develop the NOL World Card beyond a simple payment method, turning it into a vital bridge that connects NOL World's online services with physical offline experiences in Korea." She added, "Moving forward, we will not only integrate payments within the NOL World platform but also introduce diverse card designs utilizing K-content IPs and expand partnerships with major local brands. Our goal is to establish it as a must-have item for traveling in Korea—one that offers practical convenience and exclusive benefits while holding high collectible value."
