Storm Media Group today announced the official launch of its English-language news site, The Storm Media. This marks the company's first English-language news platform following its Chinese- and Japanese-language news sites, bringing Taiwan-focused journalism to international audiences and elevating Taiwan's visibility and influence in the global public sphere.
Built around the editorial spirit “Stay True · Look Beyond,” The Storm Media will focus on Taiwan politics, cross-strait relations, the technology sector, business, finance and global affairs, delivering in-depth reporting and commentary through a Taiwan-based lens.

Storm Media Chairman David Chang said the launch marks a pivotal moment for Taiwan's international presence.

Editor-in-Chief Jane Wu said the site aims to address information gaps in international coverage of Taiwan through firsthand local reporting.
“Through firsthand local reporting, we aim to provide accurate, timely and contextualized coverage,” Wu said. “Our goal is to help fill the information gaps that often appear in international coverage of Taiwan and to present Taiwan's perspectives faithfully.”
Chief Operating Officer Erin Wen highlighted the value of diverse viewpoints.
“Only through diverse viewpoints can the world gain a fuller understanding of Taiwan,” Wen said. “In the media, trust and professionalism are what matter most. The launch of The Storm Media is an important step in bringing Taiwan's many perspectives to the international stage.”
