Storm Media Group today announced the official launch of its English-language news site, The Storm Media. This marks the company's first English-language news platform following its Chinese- and Japanese-language news sites, bringing Taiwan-focused journalism to international audiences and elevating Taiwan's visibility and influence in the global public sphere.

Built around the editorial spirit “Stay True · Look Beyond,” The Storm Media will focus on Taiwan politics, cross-strait relations, the technology sector, business, finance and global affairs, delivering in-depth reporting and commentary through a Taiwan-based lens.

The site features five main sections: Business & Tech, Cross-Strait & Defense, Taiwan, Editorial and World, using a concise yet professional structure that highlights Storm Media's core strengths.

Mission: Telling Taiwan's Story in Original English

Storm Media said the new English-language site is designed not as a simple translation platform, but as an original editorial product tailored to international readers, with an emphasis on contextual reporting, editorial independence and professional journalism. Storm Media Chairman David Chang said the launch marks a pivotal moment for Taiwan's international presence.

“Taiwan sits at the center of global attention at a pivotal moment in history. The launch of our English-language news site is not simply about expanding our media footprint. It is about building an authoritative window into Taiwan, so the world can better understand the island's values through a local lens.”
