The U.S. is advancing a 28-point ceasefire plan to bring an end to the Russo-Ukrainian war. The proposed deal would require Ukraine to cede 20% of its territory, forgo war reparations, and amend its constitution to permanently forswear NATO membership.

The ceded land territory would include territories like Luhansk, Donetsk, and Crimea, which are currently under Russian control.

U.S. President Donald Trump has set a deadline for Ukrainian President Zelensky to accept the proposal by Thanksgiving, November 27. Trump acknowledges that Zelensky may find the proposal unsatisfactory, yet insists that Ukraine continues fighting if dissatisfied.

Lack of Discussion About Taiwan in US-China Talks

The ongoing negotiations in Ukraine have spurred questions about Trump's policies towards Taiwan.

Taiwanese New Party vice chairman Lee Shengfeng (李勝峰)told The Storm Media that Trump seeks reconciliation with China and believes no further provocation over Taiwan is required.

Lee asserts that the absence of Taiwan in the latest round of Xi-Trump discussions held in South Korea on October 30 highlights China's current confidence in pursuing its policy of reunification with Taiwan.  (Related: TSMC Files Lawsuit Against Former Vice President Accused of Stealing Trade Secrets Latest
